Animation story #1: Glen KeaneSome of you have mentioned wanting to hear about my days at Disney in the animation department. So, every once in awhile I thought I'd post an animation story from days past. I have a terrible memory, but some things, you just don't forget.Animation story #1: Glen Keane by *tombancroft
Without further ado:
Glen Keane. If you don't know who he is, in my opinion, he's the best animator in the world. He animated and designed characters like the Beast, Ariel, Aladdin, Pocahontas, and (believe it or not, one of my favorites) the Giant in "Mickey's Christmas Carol, among others. In my opinion there really are two different types of traditional animators: those that are in it for the drawing and those who are in it for the movement/acting. I would put Glen both categories. He's the animator's animator. A great teacher and an inspirational speaker. And passionate. That should be his middle name. Even a
